I've been trying to initiate projects on /sci/ such as a reading of the Landau books (a famous Soviet physicist)

but the problem with it is that, no matter how good the intentions, anonymous people who don't invest anything getting into it will jump off as soon as their personal life interferes with it for 2 weeks or more. People get into not seeing themselves catching up (it's hours of "work" that nobody tells you when to do) and drop out.

gl, but I have no real reason to believe it will work, especially if you want to fix a time of discussion with people from several disconnected places.
