My AP Literature teacher was fantastic. He really got me interesting in literature.

Alright /lit/, I'm not sure how much this will pertain to you but I figured it would be a nice little thread idea.

Post your significant other's favorite book (no significant other currently? Post your ex's favorite).

For some reason, you find yourself with the responsibility of teaching a typical 12th grade literature course at an American high school. There are no extant copies of the previous teacher's course outline, and you must construct a new curriculum for the school year.

Which novels do you teach, and why?
