What are some good resources to learn French well enough to be able to read The Stranger and the Post Modernists in their original language?

To all who believe in one of the Abrahamic religions, how does it make you feel that there are still people on earth unaware of your religion, beliefs and your God, that people die without even knowing, and people lived hundreds of thousands of years without before your religion, that most of the children grown in an Abrahamic religious place are grown with ignorance of other religions?

For government and the world system:

For the way we live and our desires:

>Metamorphosis
>Death of Ivan Ilyich
>Anthem
>The Picture of Dorian Gray

And these are really short books yet very much effective.

I want to understand socialism and communism, I was thinking of starting with Socialism: Utopian and Scientific, is it okay to start with it and what should I read next?

Also: I will read them in English but they're U.S printed books, am I too paranoid to ask this or do you think by any chance their content is manipulated?
