Hello, I'm looking for a book that has realistic global relations between nations in midst of war times, and has realistic battle strategies that are not overly simplistic. I am tired of stories where negotiations cannot work out or a "destroy all mankind" button has to be pressed because the worldbuilding doesn't allow for long-term engagement in war with believable tactics in place. Got any suggestions? I really like battle tactics, so I'd prefer a story that takes place heavily in the war front and involves a lot of planning using established rules/information.
