I know you're just a /pol/fag trying to bait people by saying a black woman is the only great author of the 21st century and have probably never actually read anything by Toni Morrison, let alone Zadie Smith, Salman Rushdie, Thomas Pynchon, DFW, Cormac McCarthy, etc.

Almost every author that has a "new sincerity" tag on Wikipedia is also associated with postmodernism.

50-100 years from now, will postmodernism and new sincerity get a new name and be considered the same movement?

So I was looking at the books I've read over the past year and I realized the only books I've read that were written by a living woman were both by Zadie Smith. I don't normally care about the sex/race/etc of the authors of books that I read, but I feel like I could be missing out, somewhat.

Are there any contemporary female authors that I need to be reading? Which ones?
