Hey guys, I'm gonna take AS literature next year rather than AS language, and the play to be studied will most likely be The Importance of Being Earnest.
Today, in detention with some AS literature students, I was shocked when I found their essay was on "Is Earnest. a satire or a farce" and the majority of them didn't even know what this is!

Basically, is this actually really tricky or will I find it rather easy, given my frequent readings of such material?

Also, you're opinions on the play and a general discussion of it/Wilde.
