I make my own index in the blank pages or on the inside of the cover. If I come across something I think is important, I'll write a brief note and the page number. Then, on the page itself I'll draw a neat arrow in the margin. People who underline, highlight, or scrawl copious amounts of marginalia in books should be drawn and quartered for the good of society.

Since textbooks are probably the most effective way to learn about a subject. What are some of the best textbooks you've come across? Can be on any subject, it's just about the quality.

I wish for one year or so no one was able to publish anything. At all. That way we could all catch up on all of the good stuff that we've personally missed out on and/or has gone unnoticed.

There is just an incredible amount of supply for each and every category and sub-category of literature. Everything is a battle for your attention and it's getting harder and harder to choose with shelves upon shelves of possibly great books, comics, graphic novels, etc. being distributed out every single month of every single year. It's actually a bit overwhelming when you are curious about much of it and only have so much time to spend on awesome books.

Am I the only one who feels like this?
