Honestly, why not just read books from people that aren't American or Western European? Ultimately something like "The Crusades Through Arab Eyes" is going to do less for you than just reading a book produced by Arabs for Arabs. What you listed is just feelgood trash for women and neoliberals. If you truly want to see the world through the eyes of someone else, put the effort and learn their language and then read their history and their lit. Anything short of that is useless and Philosophy-of-Life tier content.
