Serious question, what kind of literature can my fellow anons recommend regarding themes like the end/beginning of a cycle, rebirth, "changing of the guard", myth of the phoenix, and so on.

For a backstory I feel like this is important to study in my own life as I feel that I'm on the "end" of the "current cycle" if that makes sense. Not trying to jack myself off here but I'm descended from a pretty impressive family that has slowly gotten weaker generation after generation, I'm the only that succeeded because my Mom married a moron and I had to stay hungry most of my life because of it. My hometown has gotten worse and worse and now people are leaving in droves. My country has descended into a lower state since I was a kid. Most of my hobbies from my youth no longer bring me joy and I've lost contact with old friends.

I feel like I'm surrounded by decay and in decay there is death. But from death there is also rebirth I guess? What should I read to focus on how to restart the cycle. I went to a Catholic school and had the customary education and I played Dark Souls (my world feels like this) if anyone from /v/ is in here. I've always felt attached to birds and the phoenix most of all, maybe that has something to do with. I feel like Fate knows that I'm the one that has to carry the torch from the end to a new beginning? Maybe I'm just schizo but this is how it feels.
