There's tons of literature on preventing suicide or coping with the loss of loved ones but I can't find a single one that deals with the philosophy of suicide in a suicide-positive way or at least without a massive pro-life bias.
I want to read a book that answers questions like 'What constitutes a -good- suicide?' without concerninh itself with the method. What philosophical frame allows suicide being the right choice?
I am being reminded of a quote by some American writer who probably lived around 1800-1900 who explained why suicide victims end up in hell. I think he was a devout Catholic and I found his reasoning quite interesting: denying life means denying the smallest of God's creations, denying the beauty of it all. A kind of ultimate idiocy scorning everything because it does not want to participate or even behold the most innocent and beautiful. Maybe someone will know the quote I'm thinking of. Killing oneself means saying 'no' to every plant, animal and pebble, every grain of sand, the green of the meadows and the blue of the ocean and so on.
But what if that is precisely one's aim: to dismiss creation (whether created or not)?
I confess I'm having some ideations about suicide hence my interest in it, but I'm not at risk and this isn't s thinly veiled COPE thread. Is it possible to choose suicide rationally without any debilitating afflictions at the height of one's being, content with oneself, succesful and aware of all consequences? I'd really like to read a book touching on these ideas.

People do not understand the mind of a person who dreams about kill himself everyday.
But sadly agree with the stamens that suicide is wrong , cause it passes on the pain to more people.

How do you guy feel about suicide?
Is morally wrong , good or neutral?

Do any translations exist? I try to make sense of the number of skulls but there aren't any subtitles so it's hard :-( and the sequel is basically impossible.
