Reminder that if you are a Christian you are obligated to believe that the Flood actually happened, because Christ directly references it and doesn't seem to treat it like a metaphor:

>'As it was in Noah's day, so will it be when the Son of man comes. For in those days before the Flood people were eating, drinking, taking wives, taking husbands, right up to the day Noah went into the ark, and they suspected nothing till the Flood came and swept them all away. This is what it will be like when the Son of man comes.

People die for Christ all around the world to this day. Their faith is superior to Peterson's. Fuck, Peterson is unironically who Jesus is talking about in Matthew 7:

>"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

>"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’"

John is probably the most literary Gospel. My favorite is Luke, though, followed by Mark. I like the lightning fast pace of Mark, while of the three synoptics Luke tells the story the best.

The cure for this is Jesus. Not even memeing. When you're sincere about the divine sincerity about everything else follows as a matter of course.
