It's a modern classic of children's literature and deserves to be on the 2019 list more than half the FOTM philosophers (Guenon, Whitehead, Taleb, etc) that have crept on there this year.

The prose might not be Nabokov-tier but the story and characters are universal. Reminds me of a modern Dickens desu.
