This isn't "mind-blowing" or anything new. Watch "Hunting the Hidden Dimension." Its self-similarity and nature loves it. That's why you can look at tree branches in the fall and see the circulatory structure of the kidney. Its one of the clever ways that nature saves time. Instead of coding for each little iteration, just repeat the same one over and over at different scales.

Mandlebrot figured this out analyzing interference in telephone lines and realizing that smaller points of the wave resembled the larger waves when zoomed in. You see the same thing in electrocardiograms.
