Well /lit/, i've really written myself into an asshole, a dark shitty place with no hope but into the crapper. Becoming a professional writer has been a goal of mine since i was a spit of a child. The problem is, i'm scared shitless of writing. After being burned by some editors in my younger years i cant trust anyone with what i've written.

Of course i meet a magazine editor who takes a fancy to my being and asks me to email her some ideas and possibly writing samples. I have no samples. I cant even send her an email without my anxiety crippling me like a dirty mobster. my question is /lit/, what the hell do i say?

Should i tell her i have nearly no experience as a writer? Should i lie and say my samples died in the great computer fire of '12? I'd take this to /adv/ but i feel this is a more appropriate board.

What do you say /lit/? Writing anxiety thread

Naked Lunch and Last exit to Brooklyn both had some fucked up scenes. Pic related had a pretty gross description of what happens to an un embalmed corpse over the years. . .also that prison torture scene in 2666 with the broom handles.

NICE, BUT I'M STILL IN

THIS NOVEL HAS A NICE COMPARISON BETWEEN THE VARYING CYCLES OF LIFE OF COMPLETE STRANGERS, OBSERVED BY AN INDIVIDUAL USING A PEEP-HOLE. FROM FIRST LOVE, TO DEATH.

NOT EXACTLY 'EXHILARATING' BUT A WORTHWHILE READ REGARDLESS

ONE MORE

G'NIGHT

A young man staying in a Paris boarding house finds a hole in the wall above his bed. Alternately voyeur and seer, he obsessively studies the private moments and secret activities of his neighbors: childbirth, first love, marriage, betrayal, illness and death all present themselves to him through this spy hole. Decades ahead of its time, "Hell" shocked and scandalized the reviewing public when first released in English in 1966. Even so, the New Republic praised "the beauty of the book's nervous yet fluid rhythms... The book sweeps, away life's illusions

PROBABLY 'SOFTER' THAN OTHER POSTED, BUT MAY AS WELL ADD IT.
