Is The Dark Tower worth getting into?

Seems ok but i was finding the language boring to read. (never read stephen king before)

When i tried the audio book and began to enjoy it a lot more and i listened to around a 3rd of the first book.

I jsut saw that the other books are waaaaay longer (700-800 pages)

Is it really worth getting into?

I just found out that a professor at my university will be offering a Stephen King course next year that will have a specific focus on the Dark Tower series.

How awesome is THAT?

ive been a big stephen king fan for years. i've read maybe 8 of his books and everyone keeps telling me to read the dark tower series. i tried reading the gunslinger like 3 times, but get halfway through and lose interest. should i keep on going with it? does it get better and is it truly king's magnum opus?

After about 6 months, I've finally finished the 7th and final book of Stephen King's Dark Tower series.

I have a lot of questions and opinions about the series, specifically the end, and was wondering who else here had taken the time to read it?

Also, what were your thoughts?

The Dark Tower series. I'd like to see a mini series or trilogy of movies or something since its way too long for just one.
