As far as /lit/ figures go, Joyce, Delillo, and DFW to an extent (esp. in his short stories), are all _very_ focused on epiphanies. Whereas Pinecone and McElroy not so much, although it's harder to put a finger on what they're about (other than "systems, man"). Curious to hear/read some other contemporary takes.
