I have multiple friends that have read war and peace. I'm the only one that have finished Don Quixote, and I'll rather discuss that one.

the only reason we exist is to prove our existence.

Everything we do in life is just our attempt to leave an impression, who or what that is has yet to be decided.

As a non-native English speaker, I'm trying to improve my vocabulary...

However, when I read English books, even when I learn a new word, I struggle with pronunciation and often forget it later.

What do you do to improve your vocabulary and learn new words to use in conversation?

Just checked a couple of photos of me in facebook and yeah, in none of them anyone added the power to control storms, subdued nations at my feet or greatly altered my proportions to make me look like an innocent conqueror guided by the purity of my spirit.
Why live?

This is the first thing i've ever written for myself. Shall i keep at it?

The old man sat restless in a chair facing the window, his chin resting on a fist. He stared begrudgingly out of the old window, fixating on a pair of jackdaws soaring against a white sky over the field of the vicarage, up and down they really duked it out just as he and Poppy Ann had when they were young, The jazz record hissed and popped and a saxophone cried out like a bleeding heart, and as the torrent ceased a piano tapped out the record's dying breath. Silence but for the hissing void, crackling like the humdrum of everyday life, he hobbled over to the turntable and sleeved the hot-plate, shelved it, then returned to his chair, his chin returned to his fist. He thought now in silence of the pub opposite the church where Poppy Ann called home, the bastard that stole her, and the marks she would wear upon her face during his services. He thought of how she would fall down the stairs, and walk into doors, and he cried. The sentimental fool.

How do you get the motivation to write anything when you don't believe in yourself anymore?

Really, it doesn't even feel worth the time to write any of the ideas I have for things, even if I think they're good ideas, and even though I otherwise get no satisfaction out of anything.
