why is it unfilmable? I want to see Judge fancams on youtube

It's all just endless descriptions of nature and murder.. very monotonous.. I can't go further, dropped after the halfway mark.

welp, now you dont have to read it

id say the only thing this book is worth reading for is the poetic writing style, it IS incredible and a lot of fun to sink into and get lost in, his descriptions of scenes are worth the read alone.

So is Cormac McCarthy just a hack or is there a reasonable explanation for this? How does the kid kick a man in the face who is presumably taller and standing in front of him? Are we actually supposed to picture that he landed a jumping high kick on him?

The best I've read of McCarthy so far. Also the first book where the lack of quotation marks didn't throw me for a loop.

Unceasingly violent. Goofily violent. Maybe I'm not that well versed in literary bloodshed but the book was damn near oozing blood off the page.

read it for the biblical prose if nothing else, also the Judge
