My 7 year old brother doesn't want to read books, has a shitty diet and watches bullshit like adventure time/amazing world of gumball all day.

How do I encourage him to read so he can have a head start and be a more well-rounded an interesting person by the time he's a teen? If he starts early now he'll be very good at maths/science later on, that's how geeks are made

So how do I make him a little more geeky and thoughtful? I've given him my old books but he doesn't read them
