/lit/ - Literature

I have strong, semi-definite opinions on politics and a few philosophical opinions despite having nothing except a high school education and about five years of browsing the Internet (4chan, Wikipedia, Twitter) daily. I view this as a problem and have decided to educate myself more thoroughly by reading foundational books (start with the Greeks) and going to college, but I also want to read books that conform to my pre-existing opinions.

Is it a bad idea to do so?

Well I guess we could just carry a huge bag with us that holds all our books, and whenever someone complains or we become self conscious of not looking obscure/well read enough, we switch the book and the costume.
