Have you read Call of the Crocodile? It’s batshit insane yet oddly enjoyable. Take a look at this old screencap. This is a fairly accurate summary to the start of the book. It’s incredible for all the reasons you’d never think a book would be.

I enjoyed CotC more than the other “meme books” I see posted on this board. Reading through it was entertaining as fuck. As opposed to Infinite Jest or Gravity’s Rainbow which were just brutally boring. CotC is fun because of how schizo and baffling it was. Pic related.
