Just finished this, what did I think?
So Hermine was a creation of his mind, a strange merging between his childhood friend, his desire for an authoritative woman, and his death drive. Was Pablo behind the entire transformation of Harry since he came upon the theatre? Were he and Maria creations of Harry's as well? Does it even really matter who was real and who wasn't?
Also, how does one avoid being a Steppenwolf in today's world? Go clubbing every day and sincerely engage with pop culture? Sounds terrible.
