It's frightening to notice how, upon waking up, even if you've had the most vivid and of dreams and how much thought you've given it since you opened your eyes, everything gets wiped out of your brain after at least one minute of uninterrupted scrolling on your phone's screen. it's all gone in a flash, and you're only left with the sensation of something missing; something that you can't recuperate. that's deeply fucked up.
maybe i should just sell my ''smartphone'' and use a good old motorola razr flip phone instead.

Are there any books that teach you how to handle & grasp moments of inspiration? Whenever the creative thoughts start rushing into my brain during the day, they immediately crumble apart and dissipate once i sit down to turn them into fruitful writing or any sort of creative excercise. While this is frustrating, i want to understand how the process of inspiration works, as nebulous as that might sound, and how it compares to the results that eventually come out of such fits. I've read stuff on ecstatic epiphanies, especially those of religious nature, but i'm looking for things that are more in line with self-expression, breakthroughs in thought patterns...etc. I know that these experiences are meant to be fleeting, but i consider them to be a gift and it pains me to see them go to waste, for what they might be worth.
Thank you very much.
