Is there any good fiction with Steampunk settings? Prefferably those that aren't literally just "Victorian London but with machines and more monocles".

I'll start.

The Lotus War Trilogy by Jay Kristoff. These books have it all!

A Hellish Steampunk Setting, Grimdark Empires & Oppressive Religious Regimes, Weaboo Shit Off-The-Chars, Misinterpretation of Japanese Culture and Mythology, Chainsaw Katana, Genetically-Enhanced Cyborg Samurai, Lotus Flower-Powered Airships, and Talking Flying Thunder Tigers.

Do read. It's fun. Just don't expect to see any depiction of Japanese Culture / History that's remotely accurate.
