I just finished The Sound of Waves a few days ago. I never say this, especially for translated works: it was beautiful.

Hey guys. So I'm working on an assignment and I have to write a formal outline (small one) talking about the following question.

"How is narrative utilised by Shakespeare in The Tempest to explore power?"

Now don't get me wrong I've read the play (and enjoyed it). I just need help on the thesis.

Now, some background on the teacher: Very anti-colonization type guy (We're reading Heart of Darkness, Things Fall Apart and Modern African Poetry for God's sake). His argument is that Prosperos behaviour (controlling the minds and decisions of others, the plot essentially) is simply due to the fact that he is a power hungry jerk. I want to prove that Shakespeare supports colonization. Help me out? Pic unrelated
