Who here remembers the last line of this novel being
"So we beat on, boats against the WIND, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

but now is...
"So we beat on, boats against the CURRENT, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

This could be my memory, but Current does not make sense to me.
There are only a couple of residual effects that I found, one on Pinterest and one boating website which quotes the ''Wind'' version of the end line.

Can anyone help me out here or give me some thoughts on what they think?
