I learned Latin at age 12 (my country still does this if your grades were good enough in elementary school) and years later I'm pissed I didn't start even earlier. I also regret not taking up Greek. I was given the choice at 13 but the alphabet turned me off. Most stupid decision ever. I also regret my parents not forcing me to learn an instrument. I would've hated it probably but the science on brain development is sound. One plus though, they basically let me do whatever I wanted, which lead me to videogames which basically taught me English single-handedly, and later I got into programming (just HTML and PHP) at age 12 or so. Still, I read things like Casanova's biography and all of these Enlightenment and Romantic era people and I'm just so jealous. Learning poetry, languages, writing, music. Sounds so comfy.
