Why do people hate him?

He literally just gives practical advice for young men to improve their lives

I see people like Gabor Mate claim he has repressed anger so his methods are wrong. My friend says he has unresolved childhood trauma and is full of anger.

Ok so even if that’s true, why does it matter if he has “unresolved trauma” if he learned to control that and live a good life in spite of that?

What is more important? Getting to the root cause of every antisocial behavior and “editing out” the bad parts of yourself? Or just learning how to control your shadow?

He seems like an extremely odd person, especially for someone in his particular field, so I'm curious if his work has any real scientific or philosophical merit to it.

Peterson has said in several places that the phrase "blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth" is misunderstood. He states that meekness means "those who have power but have sheathed their swords" and then reccomends on the Joe Rogan podcast that men be "monsters" probably because society and women like that from men. My question is, how could a supposed scholar on Christianity misunderstand the beatitudes that much? Is he just an idiot?

I hate him as much as you guys but I will grant him that he is at the very least the most well-read public intellectual of our time. Listen to any of his debates with charlatans like Sam Harris or Matt Dillahunty and it becomes evidently clear that Peterson has a strong grasp of existential philosophy.

Charlatans like Harris and Dillahunty seriously think Peterson is playing word games when he asks them about Metapsychics, Truth or Reality but these concepts are literally philosophy 101 that you should have learned reading Plato. It's like they have never engaged in a socratic dialogue either with another person or internally with themselves. The fact that they then go out there and pose as intellectuals while being philosophically retarded infuriates me. Their NPC audience eat it up.

This guy might be the most underrated intellectual in history. He is the modern day Jung and everything I've heard him is filled with substance and is right and like Jung he will never get the support of the masses because he isn't made for them. Jung was not made for the masses but a specific type of person who was free from the biases of the modern world. Peterson's political career ruins his character with the masses but people don't actually read his psychological and biblical writings. He really is a genius who understands the modern world.
