in the 2nd season finale they play the aria of goldberg's variations, which I had long associated with raw beauty and essence, after hannibal slaughters a shit ton of main characters. it made me fucking angry, that they would chose that particular song and strip away its innocence. beauty can never be innocent, it will capture your attention and shape any view you want it with its lulling voice, but without beauty what is a human life worth all for or some shit like that
