Ever since I watched Dr. Peterson's analysis of Pinocchio and The Lion King, I started finding richer and more profound meaning in my favourite shows. But if there is one that takes the cake it would have to be Hunter x Hunter 2011 version.

I remember that Dr. Peterson once said that sometimes an image can convey more words that you could possibly conceptualize, or something like that. If that could be true for an image, then an animated story could go even beyond that.

The reason I recommend Hunter x Hunter to anybody that listens to Jordan Peterson's lectures, is because I believe Hunter x Hunter embodies Jordan Peterson's ideas exquisitely. And I feel I have gotten a much better understanding of them because of this incredible story. Some of the topics this anime touches upon but are not limited to (as I'm sure I missed many more):

The ambiguity of morality.
Nietzsche's concepts of slave/master morality and the "Superman".
What it means to be human, and human potential.
The unknown as that which kills you and holds that which you desire
The duality of good and evil inside each of us.
I could probably go on, but I don't want to make this post too long. In conclusion, Hunter x Hunter has helped get a better understanding of the ideas of Jordan Peterson, and I believe JP listeners could get the most out of this anime as I have.
