When it comes to Mythology, do you stick with your cunt's stuff or do you expand? The Iliad and the Odyssey are classic enough for anyone to be interested, but what about stuff a step down in recognition? For example, Wagner's Ring Cycle is a classic. If you're non-Germanic/Nordic, do you have any desire to read it? Do you wish to continue with the Eddas? Or have you ever read the Sumerian Mythology?

It makes me wonder because Mythologies are a reflection of a culture's ideals. In the current interconnected world these have become muddled and shared. So does that make Mythology just a useless pasttime, or does it create more "tribalism", making you want to support your versions, regardless of their merit? At the end of the day, is it even worth reading Mythological texts bar simple enjoyment and a way to connect with your culture?

I've read the Odyssey, the Iliad, the Aeneid, the Metamorphoses, Arabian Nights, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West, the Bible, and Dante's Divine Commedy. Where do I go from here?
