The definitive book on what it means to be Catholic. While it's focused on monks and not priests, this should help you on your journey anon. Wonderfully written too, and a beautiful book on its own.

Not gonna lie, it wasn't the best book I ever read, but it was straight up the most beautifully written one.

What are your favorite Catholic/Christian books. Pic related is mine.

Wow. What a book. From the semi-allegorical exploration of the Dark Ages to the Modern Day, and the debates between characters on religion, history and morality, it's one of the best books I've ever read. The underlying pessimism of the story shadowed by a hidden optimism about humanity and society in general is a really interesting take on how civilisation functions.

What are your thoughts /lit/?

some of those older first ed covers are comfy as fuck. some are just too expensive though.

I'm reading A Canticle for Leibowitz right now (completely loving it right now on page 94) and came across a thread somewhere online where people were shitting on it and asking for "hope that it'll get better as it goes on" because I guess they don't like the first portion of the book?

I'm assuming maybe they don't like it because they were suggested reading it after asking "lol I luv fallout and I kinda want to be a person who reads so like what book should I read?" And were expecting to read about Brother Francis shooting mini-nukes at super mutants?

What do you guys think of it?
