How did this based Boston brahmin do it? Years of searching for meaning and reading philosophy and this guy made me realize how big of a waste of time it was. t first I didn't believe in the Rort, but more and more I found myself agreeing with everything this guy says.
Be warned, mark my words, all philosophical inquiry leads to this guy.

Read Rorty and realize that philosophy cannot be solved.

Is he, dare I say it, /ourguy/?

Did Rorty end Western philosophy?

Add late Wittgenstein and early Heidegger.

Can Rorty's ironist vocabulary be effectively redirected to conservative purposes?

The chunk of Contingency, Irony, and Solidarity concerning liberalism is without a doubt the weakest part. Rorty would be one of the great thinkers if his work was purged and appropriated for conservative politics.

Better to say that the distinctions between objective and subjective truths are unnecessary. As such with all dualisms we cast them aside with antirepresentationalism, that there is no reality/appearance. We can then take truth as what gets us (community) to our goal.

Ahh I have only been reading his pragmatist writings. My thesis is going to be on the role hope and luck play in a pragmatic theory of truth and hope they can help a community (deweyan) reach their goal.
