A formless and dull mass of phony folklore, a cold pudding of a book. Conventional and drab, redeemed from utter insipidity only by infrequent snatches of heavenly intonations. Detest it. A cancerous growth of fancy word-tissue hardly redeems the dreadful joviality of the folklore and the easy, too easy, allegory. Indifferent to it, as to all regional literature written in dialect. A tragic failure and a frightful bore.

>As for the inequality, I will yield that it's gotten a lot bigger than whats healthy
Unfortunately this is a trend that, more than likely, will continue.

>In my own native country we are effectively taxed at 50% on average,
I'm paying 20%, but I still pay more tax than the billion dollar IT multinational I work for. The amount of tax workers pay here is often a minimal to maintain a healthy workforce, while services for those on the periphery are severely neglected. 90 billion of untaxed corporate revenue passes through my country every year, but local (and vital) public services run through their budget in the first three months. It's a reality I wouldn't consider very socialist. Maybe it's just me, but I've perceived this to be a trend in most countries I've visited. Hopefully you have it better off!

I guess so. I think a lot of new people found 4chan (and /pol/ in particular) in 2016 thanks to the presidential election. This new demographic is exploring the other boards and contributing in their own unique way.
It's very much like the influx of people who found /b/ in 2008 thanks to chanology, and make no mistake, /pol/ is the new /b/.

I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but over the years you could kind of follow the board cultures based on an average age demographic. For instance, the type of meme humor 10 years ago. Or the almost rebellious, anti-theistic, anti-paternalistic, liberal culture following chanology. Or how about the bouts of trolling between /sci/ and /lit/ when the majority of posters were obviously entering or going through undergrad. A lot of people have left since then, and they're being replaced by the people who arrive during these populous moments such as the 2016 election. I guess you can't really expect anything else from an imageboard.
