I just stumbled upon the "Three Body" trilogy (?) on Youtube and the dude is hailing it as the second coming of Christ when it comes to space horror. Anyone here read it? Is it really good? To keep it 100% real with you, I am mostly sceptical because it is a Chinese author.

This was my first Banks and favourite book too for quite long until i read Remembrance of the earths past trilogy. Still a great book with many insanely good concepts. Banks' world building is really nice but he always kinda falls flat on the convergence on the multiple story lines and seems to rush the ending.

Read any other Culture? All are worth checking out if you haven't already but don't offer anything substantially different. Got any recs of something similar you like?
