If so how’s that experience been like so far? Why?

I’m thinking about changing my major from IT to English with Lit concentration after becoming obsessed with literature over the summer.

Someone how all my life I was never exposed to good literature and after finding this board I can’t stop thinking about classic literature, philosophy, theology, occultic mysticism, the classics, Greeks, postmodernism.

I’m two years into my degree but I can’t stand it anymore. I only care about literature and the higher academic understanding I hope College will offer.

I literally spend my days now reading and doing personal research to get more context. I think my favorite part about reading these books is that I feel like I’ve finally found people (authors) that umm “get it”. I feel as like I’m going through an intellectual rebirth.

Why has no one ever told me about the art of literature.

I’m not sure if I’m going threw an obsessive ism phase like I have with art history, music, and film. I find MU and TV too surface level now in days anyways.

Last 5 books I’ve read so far
•The Sound and The fury
•Of Human Bondage
•Crime and Punishment
•White Noise
•The Recognitions

I’ve loved all these books and there ideas, emotions, and academia. Although the Recogntions was a bit confusing but I enjoyed all the academia in different subjects it had to offer and researching them to understand.
