>if i started reading some Sartre i wouldve ended up in a psychical hospital.
5/10, I chuckled.
Every opinion on everything is of course subjective, and why I say it is okay for you to like the book, but those opinions that are backed up by evidence stronger than "I read it and now my cock is 9 inches bigger!" are more respected, and for good reason. As said many times, her philosophies are unrealistic, shallow, egotistical, and hypocritical. A book conveying those ideas is therefore, at its core, just as sad and pathetic as the ideas themselves.
I am not spreading hatred nor criticizing for the sake of criticism. You ask why people detract from Rand's works, and when given clear and sensible answers, you respond with "but it made my 147 IQ ass less lazy!" as if that would remedy the various inconsistencies or failings in Rand's philosophy.

Also, please tell me English is your 5th language, as reading your posts is vomit inducing.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Together purple
As prose sans meaning
Or poem
Sans form

So edgy, I know
But what
Do you?

I am not very attractive, I have an abrasive demeanor, I write people off quickly, I am not rich nor a super genius, and I still have more sex than most people I know. Out of all of my straight friends/acquaintances (because we all know the gays are just padding the numbers here), the only other guy I know having as much sex as me is not that great of a catch himself, his chick is just really fucking stupid.
This is probably because I am typically only in long-term relationships, meaning less dry spells in between ladies.

I'm trying to get my plebeian girlfriend into literature and she loves mythology, so I figured Homer's Odyssey is a good place to start. I haven't read it myself, or any other Greek classics really, but I have seen on this board that there is an apparently "easier" but still worthwhile version/translation of Homer's works. Which one would that be?
