Holy fuck this book is boring. Imagine a book so fucking boring it can make the idea of an insane, feral woman who lives in the attic sneaking into your bedroom at night seem completely uninteresting. Jesus Christ.

Why doesn't /lit/ ever talk about Jane Eyre? It's a beautiful novel.

Has anyone actually read this book, or do we all just hate on it due to a female author and some borderline feminist themes?

I hated this book through the first third, but it wound up being ok.
