The "original" statue this is based on shows Perseus holding Medusas head aloft, a mortal hero conquering a monster. Inspiring. This reversal instead frames it as woman conquering her oppressor (men) , but instead of being inspirational, it comes off as more vindictive.

But the main fault is that it doesn't want to admit and indulge in the obvious vindictiveness, and instead frames it as empowering. In short, it's dishonest, pseud, and midwit.
