This. Any time I've ever seen his ideas discussed a lot of people agree with him, even normal people. Unfortunately, his choice of targets was really bad and obviously killing people is always going to taint any idea.

He got lucky though in that everyone bought that his bombings were purely for political/philosophical purposes when they really weren't, pic related.

The fuck are you talking about, he wanted to kill people, that was his goal. The casualties were minimal because it was a long time of trial and error to improve his bombs. And part of the reason he did it was purely for personal satisfaction.
