>now you praise it for being anti-Marxist because you saw that the commie options aren't just blind commie dicksucking.
Maybe some are like that here, but I think you might be misreading me. I think it's good art and not at all anti-Marxist, inspired by Marxism actually. Shitting on every political ideology is very Marxist -- or any ideology (including "communism" articulated as) an end goal to accomplish or considering the idea as the final destination to reach since that is the practice of idealism. I think that might be where a lot of "ideological" attempts at art fail, including on the right, because people set out with the idea of making a "right-wing book" or a "left-wing book" where the art is serving ideology, rather than ideology "serving," guiding and helping in the development of something -- whether art or a political system or whatever.

I agree, but you must look at the economic dynamics of it to understand:

He's a YouTube guy who got hundred thousands of subscribers (watching minutes) for being the "cute guy who rants about his life at Harvard" and he quit Harvard.
So now he has to, on a regular schedule, pump out videos to deposit his Audible ad to make a comfy living.

This is a perverted version of the lit life where he does "only stuff for himself" while cashing in for his Capital (the subscribers he attained previously)

It doesn't have to have content, he just must show his face regularly and retain the clicks

Most people just say what they read in their online news reader. Many people should probably not vote, even my friends. I can't really make a case though, unless I'd had them read up a bit.

>tfw all politicians adhere to the same basic neoliberal priciples and some like to get spicy and add in neoconservative or even the rare democratic socialist larper

desu it increasingly seems like having defined moral values is tough when the politicians that are available have shitass neolib and neocon ideology. all trash, the political fight is basically just which hole you want to insert ideology in

>"She is, deeply and truly, a poet of Instagram: Her work is human experience, tidily aestheticized and monetized, rendered inspirational and relatable in perfect balance."

She basically copied the style of contemporary country music, then reduced its formulaic choral appeal to a vaguely poetic, though equally formulaic, form of aphoristic confessional. The difference between a dog and a man is that a dog thinks the trash he consumes is a delicacy

seeing her video is deeply troubling to me.

I fantasize about such women, cute nerdy girls with short hair cuts, but in the end I feel like any such fantasy isn't realistic on my part.

Maybe at some point I could have dated some book nerd with shelves full of scifi and fantasy, but when she saw what I was reading I'd probably seem like a freak. I've been so busy reading books about Aztec Blood Sacrifice, 1960s UFO Cults, and fringe philosophers like Baudrillard and Nick Land, that I haven't actually read a science fiction book in years.

I guess, all these years have passed, and at one point maybe I'd have had a chance with a girl like her, but now I'm just a freak who spends his evenings read Uncle Ted Kaczynski and Yukio Mishima.

Its not that I feel superior as a non-fiction reader, its more that I've become a literary outcast. Maybe at one point it was only losers who red sci-fi, but now it's fairly mainstream and I'm the weirdo.
