Is the reading group for Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon still happening?

Ok, i'm at page 518, and i'm lost.

I picked up GR after two weeks of not reading and there's stuff I don't remember.

What is Enzian and Schwarzcommando's purpose? What are they after, riding their bikes around and shit? Who the hell is Ombindi and the Empty Ones? Are them the ones who want to make that Tribal suicide thing? Why?

Does Pynchon have any shorter, easier digestible books that are worth reading before I try Gravity's Rainbow?

Ok I have to ask, of all of you that have read GR (despite it being one of /lit/s favorite books, only about a quarter can have actually read it) how many Genuinely enjoyed it?

I ask because I've been reading it, in all its bone-crushing density, and found it kind of a grind. I can't read more than four pages without putting it down. Then I began to wonder, am I actually enjoying this, getting anything out of it, or am I just grinding through because other people have said its good?

What's all this 'A-and' and 'Sez' business?

I just finished reading Gravity's Rainbow.

I think I understand the general concept, but I felt there were a lot of things I didn't understand or even notice.

Should I try rereading the book?

How hot did you imagine Tyrone Slothrop to be while reading Gravity's Rainbow?

Does anyone know where I can find an ebook of Gravity's Rainbow? It's one of the few books that I've been having trouble with. Even the amazon store doesn't have it. Is it just not available?
