On the contrary, most sci-fi writers seem to pretend ubiquitous internet didn't happen or is going to be rendered obsolete by further progress. Pattern Recognition by Gibson, while not strictly sci-fi, is probably still one of the few novels that actually try weave the internet as an integral part of the story and it came out already in 2003. As for the other way you could be "influenced by the internet", Charles Stross is pretty much the only author I can think of whose career has degenerated into spouting memes and gushing about cats.
