1) Mr. Lewbowski, despite being able bodied, does not work. He collects welfare, presumably disability, which gives him enough to subsist on bowling, white russians, and a good diet and afford rent. He shows disdain for society and refuses to contribute in any meaningful way.

2) He quotes Lenin numerous times, and one member of his cadre takes obvious offense at ignorance of the man. Lebowski obviously has read Lenin's essay 'Who Stands to Gain?', which if I may add, was rare and inaccessible in those days, so we can surmise he had access to and indeed read the entirety of the collected works.

3) He brainwashed and recruited Walter to join his cause. An unstable, ex-vietnam vet, somehow defending Vladimir Lenin's name from being besmerched? This is just a pawn for him.

4) His landlord cowers in fear of him and gives him ample time to pay what he can. Why I ask, WHY?

If it looks, walks and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck. Mr. Lewbowski is a leftist parasite. The antithesis of nihilism for Lewbowski is class struggle. The only thing that gives his otherwise pathetic life meaning.
