Yea but what REALLY does anyone except the top 0.0001% of humanity have to "show" for their life. We are so tragically insignificant on the grand scale. Even in our own petty lives with our own petty friends and family we ultimately mean nothing. Maybe a handful of people would be temporarily sad if we died but they'd be over it in no time.

I'm not suggesting that I want to exclusively fuck and drink, but why shouldn't I integrate these two things into my life in a significant way? Obviously there are other things that make me happy and bring me pleasure (see, this is what we're really after in life) like reading, dogs, tasty food, Irish music, etc but what are the real inhibitors for moving to Thailand or Vietnam or some other semi-hellhole, partaking amply in women (prostitutes or not), drinking my fill, and living an "easy life"? Seems to me that it's jealousy and prudishness- suppression of what we all really want because the idea of facing the absolute paucity in our lives is too much to bear.
