I was watching the Zizek/Peterson debate a while ago and I remembered an interesting part where Zizek mentioned how the Nazis would use zen Buddhist techniques to aid their soldier. Zizek described one of them as being this technique where they would view their opponents as immaterial orbs in order to not feel guilty when killing them. I tried to track down what Zen buddhist texts they used and found some guy called D.T Suzuki and his work called "The Essence of Bushido". It was apparently very influential for wartime Germany during the second world war but I can't find the text anywhere. Or any other Zen Buddhist texts that influenced the Nazi. Can any of you bros help me out in finding what specific practical mystical practises were used by the Nazis during the second world war and how widespread they were among Nazi soldiers. I know that Hitler was into a lot of Esoteric shit by looking at his library.
