But are you really conscious? Or are you just performing the same functions as me and anyone else? Your perspective on this is irrelevant and like you said, you can't measure it in others. So using your own analogy, in my perspective I cannot prove that you are conscious, so how can you assert that you are?

It makes more sense to me that none of us are conscious, the only thing driving us is completing our various functions in order to reach contentment.

I'm not referring to the physical state of consciousness and unconsciousness, more the side of free will and sentience. I thought that was clear from the beginning.
