This thing is virtually useless to any educated person that is capable of adulting in a proper manner.
The only people that rave about it are those that didn't learn any skill from family, school, church, or any civic group they might have associated with.
Everything in J.P.'s book was taught to me as a child growing up, in preparation for growing up to be a responsible person in society.
It's a result of the effects of helicopter parenting, participation trophy ethics, rewarding people for failure, instead of having them be responsible and accountable for their actions (or lack of them).
In his book, JP compares lobsters to modern society. If lobsters form a better social unit that humans in 'Merika, it's no wonder we have been cucked by a generation of incompetent failures that have to be told to make their bed, clean their room, and practice basic personal hygiene.
The success of this book only reflects the problems endemic to America, not a solution for it.

This guy got it. I came here to voice this opinion. A book a week actually self selects out a lot of /lit/ worthy titles. Read War and Peace in a week? Read Greek classical philosophy in a week? The nature of the challenge limits your choice of material.
