The Buddhists were wrong when they rejected desire. It is desire fighting against the tides of chaos that brings glory. One should instead build up an order within against chaos constantly, understanding chaos will erode ones order. Yet still one builds and fights against it, knowing that on day they shall lose. For it is the fight that matters, death is secondary. Happiness matters not, pain is nothing. One should not reject desire but embrace it. Embrace most the civilized desires, and the highest one of all, heroic desire. Through up levies of desire and will agent the tides of chaos, only to fail and strive again in the name of humanity, so that one day we may become the gods we worshiped. Against the rising tied of chaos, knowing how one will fail yet there is victory and honor in the action itself. The act of living with passion is of itself ; self redeeming. That is what it is to live great.
