>tfw your female professors have all been bro-tier legitimate scholars with zero-tolerance for the kind of waffling bullshit you just described.

I don't even know how it happened.

Feels good, man.

S'up, /lit/.

Can anyone recommend a particular critical/annotated edition as a starting point for approaching Aristotle's "Historia Animalium"/"De Animalibus"?
I'd also be keen on any other recommendations on Aristotelean Zoology in general, not just the words of The Teacher himself; antilegomena, pseudepigrapha, embellishments, glosses and commentaries are all heartily welcome, especially those that pretain to its transmission and interpretation in dar-al-Islam and Medieval Latin Christendom.

Pic is of my favourite Gorilla: Julia, a 33 year old female from the Bronx Zoo's troop. She's primarily responsible for my sudden surge of interest in primate ethology, which by turns has led me to pre-modern theories of biology. She's a real sweetie, and as of a few weeks ago, a proud mother.
